Sooo! I just got back from OHAYOCON and it was great, there were so many great voice actors there, and going their panels was great! I was able to meet, Aaron Dimsuke (voice of Alphonse Elric, FMA), Wendy Powell (voice of Envy, FMA) Illich Guardiola (so many characters that I love...but he plays Durand in Le Chevalier D'eon and the butler who's name I foreget in Mystical Detective Loki) and Tiffany Grant (who I was meeting for the second time). Greg Ayres and Stephenie Sheh were there too, but I didn't get a chance to get their autographs or go to any of their panels. There were others there to but I don't really know about them.
I went to Aaron's panel, it was hilarious! The whole time we talked about his survival plan for the Zombie Apocalypse. Next I went to Illich's panel, which was also hilarious, we talked about his experience in the industry but mainly about his work on the firt seasons of Saiyuki, and how there is a RUMOR that they may re-dub the latter seasons which had a different vocal cast because of licencing issues. They might also get the new season of Saiyuki but the license is still up for grabs.
I was sad to hear from him though about how tough it's been for the anime industry because of the recession. The Anime industry really is in quite a bit of trouble right now, it's really slow, and not as much of will be released for a while. I hope things get better soon.
All in all, it was great, I wanted to stay for the 18+ panel with the voice actors later tonight but I didn't want to be walking back home at 1:00am.
